The Sun of Vergina, also called the Star of Vergina, is an ancient Greek symbol found in many artifacts such as coins and vases. The sixteen-rayed sun takes its name from the golden urn found in the Royal Tomb which is attributed to the Macedonian Royal Dynasty of Philip II and Alexander the Great.
